I listen to Jesus Culture, Matt Gillman & CFN (Klaus K) sing
the song "Holy" and all three have different verses.

What the true verse & why are verses being changed?

Common causes of variation in the same song are personalization (where one makes the song their own), doctrinal (a change to reflect a different theological understanding), failure to remember the words to a tune one Really likes, and application to different environments.  I'm sure there are other good and bad reasons but those came to mind immediately.  Think of how many times Brian Doerksen has changed his songs, "Light the Fire Again" or "Come Now is the Time to Worship".  What are the verses that work for you?

As far as I know Cory Asbury and Matt Gilman wrote "Holy." It is on their
2008 CD "Holy." There is a version of the song on IHOP-KC's Limited Edition
Vol 14 from Aug/Sept 2007. That version is a clip of live worship from the
24/7 Global Prayer Room titled "Holy, Holy, Holy", and Matt Gilman was
leading. You have to subscribe to IHOP-KC's Limited Edition to be able to
get that version.

In any case, Gilman & Asbury wrote, so one could say that what they sing are
the "true" verses.

The verses that Klaus Keuhn (sp?) uses is the easiest but the one
Jesus Culture uses sound more fitting & the one Gillman wrote
doesn't work at all for me, I'm really torn on this one.

What are you all using, if you do this song?
