Monday 10/1 -- I am going to the Windy City Event on Thursday and will try
to send written notes to Stacy or I'll call her and she will post little notes
on the website under the NEWSLETTER BUTTON because you won't get the regular
newsletter from Thursday through Sunday. I'll write the full report and
add pictures when I get back and I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of you
there and seeing lots of old friends. This is my first time going to
Chicago so I'm really looking forward to attending an event I've heard so much
about from so many people. Be sure to come up and say hi and remember I
can't remember names so just keep telling it to me over and over like I do Lucy
training her to talk!! LOL. If you want to see what we will be
learning the full schedule is on
www.countryedge.com. I love this
time of year with all the big, upcoming events all the way through the end of
the year and into early next year. I can't go to all of them but I know
someone will be and I can live vicariously!!

NOTE FROM
ME: Please remember to vote in the weekly survey (by late Sunday
afternoon each week). Just list up to 8 of your current favorites in this
format: Dance/choreographer/level (PLEASE separate with the / )
To be added to the mailing list to receive the daily newsletter, just send
me an e-mail with SUBSCRIBE in the subject line and I will add you. If you ever
miss a copy of the newsletter, check the website under the NEWSLETTER button to
see if I have posted anything there for you to know and you can also read the
previous day's newsletter at that link.
To read the newsletter faster, do a
search for the word, SUBJECT. You will then be able to skip from SUBJECT to
SUBJECT.
Please add in the SUBJECT line WHERE the event or class you are talking
about is. The newsletter goes around the world and to someone in Singapore, WI
or CA doesn't mean too much. And PLEASE remember that the subject line I'm
talking about is NOT the subject line of your e-mail but a subject line that you
actually type the words SUBJECT and FROM. If you do not type SUBJECT/FROM then I
have to type it and fill it in and it would really, really help me if you would
please do it before you send it to me. Thanks a
bunch.

Subject: Bronco Jim
Ward, DJ in the Lehigh Valley & Montgomery County PA areas.
From: Rosie
mul...@aol.com
DJ Bronco Jim was hospitalized with congestive heart failure this past
Monday, and has already had two surgical procedures.
Saturday was not a good
day for Bronco. He was in a lot of pain, so after he was given some meds, there
was still no change, then the doctor did another angioplasty and did more
repairs. He also removed a large clot. The doctor said that Bronco had another
heart attack today! He's now in CCU in a private room with no access to a phone.
His girlfriend, Jane, visited him tonight and she said he looks much better. All
the swelling is gone and his coloring is good. He says he tired but feels
better.
Jane has asked for help. Bronco needs to rest, and be stress-free,
but he's worrying about the hospital bills because he does not have health
insurance. Jane has asked for one dollar from each of us to help him. Bronco has
been such a friend to many in line and partner dancing, and to the dance
community as a whole.
Check out his web page
broncojim.com to see how he
promotes what we all enjoy so much!
Continue to keep Bronco and Jane in your
prayers. He knows that you're all thinking of him and it means a lot.

Kathy Hunyadi & Max Perry, 64ct/4w/inter, 1 tag. Music: Do Your Thing, the
Basement Jaxx(Rooty). Took a "retake" on this dance at the Sept. Fun event at
the Hayloft with Barry & DariAnne. This is an oldie but absolutely goodie
and had to bring it back to my class. Some recalled it while others had never
learned it. Wow, did we have fun with this one. There were smiles on every face
with this dance.
IT'S GOOD TO BE US:Lynne Martino, 64ct/4w/inter, 1 restart,
Music: It's Good To Be Us, Bucky Covington. Finally got to teach this to my

Beginners:

dance.
Beginner's Plus: TALIA'S DANCE: Liz Rosenblatt, 32ct/4w/beg. Music:
Nothin Bout Love Makes Sense, LeAnn Rimes. Fun little dance for beginner's who

DANCEFROM:
hil...@hawaii.rr.com Now the days,
I spend a lot of time in deciding what to teach for my weekly class since there
are so many nice dances to consider. Recently, there was one dance just caught
my attention as a top choice, overriding all the dances on the wait list. If you
are a mainliner, please check out the dance "My Heart Is Broken Too"
choreographed by Josefin Blomkvist (Aug, 07) to the music "Still In Love With
You" by No Angels. This is a changing-2-wall, 32-count dance with several
restarts because of the phrasing of the music. It is really an enjoyable, fairly
easy, feel-good dance even though the title of the dance is not quite agreeable.
Our class loves it.

SUBJECT: WHAT DEBBIE IS TEACHING IN
SPAINHello Everyone,
Last week I taught Silver moon as it
seems to be getting popular in our area - went very well, all liked it
(especially the Enrique fans!). Recaps were Country girl (popular even with the
dancers who normally aren´t keen on country) and Amor de hielo (this is my new
one which will be out on general release soon). Our oldie was a recap of Midnight
blue ( I had intended to do Drive me wild but we ran out of time, maybe next
week). The advanced group had some real fun with Neville and Julie´s Ain´t got
no money (this is a fab dance that really is not that hard once mastered - but
then they are all like that aren´t they?). Our oldie for this class was Deeply
completely (which did not even need a walk through, why do the old classics
stick?). I have been asked next week to go back over a single moment, which was
a really lovely dance. This week I am going to have a look at Burning - This
dance seem to be gaining in popularity and I love the track. For
the
intermediates I am looking at Fire cracker and Heat of the nite, Will do
guardian angel this week,
Best wishes,
Debbie
