SUBJECT DANCES THIS
WEEK
FROM: BIG DAVE
Just a reminder for Hinckley Newline this Saturday/Sunday - Brand new dance
releases from Debbie & Shaz - Also various teaches/recaps with the help of
MT, Jordan & Dan (& Ryan on Sunday) - And me - Saturday recaps from
6.00pm - Social from 8.00pm ....... And Sunday-Out from noon.
Also
see you at a great mainstream fundraiser at Wolverhampton Goodyear Pavilion this
Friday evening if you are going - Enjoy this one every year - Great crowd &
venue & Calico this year - 7.30pm - Late - This one is mainstream &
there are tickets available on the door - Over 100 already sold so going to be a
great night.
Taught Audrey's The Little Skirt on Tuesday - Went
well last Wednesday & a hit this week too - It's an old/classic Irish Jig -
Now when I first played this track I said "No Way" !! :-) but on recommendation
I tried it & if you approach it with some fun & frollick - Get the Irish
styling going too - It really is feel good dance & a big hit - Trust me !!!
:-) ............. Exactly the same applies with A&S's Running Out Of Beer
for some country yeehaw fun !! :-) ................ Other beginner dances going
well include Seduced, So Easily, All Together Again, Baby & Tennessee Waltz
Surprise, although this week I did a lot of great classic beginner
teaches/recaps too.
In the easy transition between classes the
main dances currently include Askin' Questions, Mi Rowsu & Take It Outside -
All going well - And this wee we did Rachael's catchy country two-step Rhyme Or
Reason which was a hit too.
On Tuesday the new dances were
MaggieG's latest - Gave It All Away & Something Good - Now Maggie is a
friend but I don't just rush to do her new dances - Only if I genuinely like
them !! :-) and on this occasion I really can see these both being big hits so
did them both - And both really well received ........... Main recaps were Dee's
pop one Open Up Your Heart, Kate's Stomp & Kick, Craig's Wild &
P&A's Parachute - That was a full night - Just time for a quick recap of
current favourite Love Ya too ........ Revision next week for sure !! :-) The
late-bird one was Rob's Get On Down - Going particularly well this
one.
On Wednesday - Well the plan was for Dee's other new pop one
Baby Baby Baby - And we did do that - And a big hit too - Really nice dance
& a cool cool track ....... I was also asked by some for Upside Down, which
I'd only done on a Tuesday to date, so we quickly did that one too ......... And
after being so well received on Tuesday - And having quite a few Maggie fans on
a Wednesday we also did Gave It All Away & Something Good too - Too many
again I know but they enjoyed them all & we can have a recap week next week
!!!! ...... Excepting that the Wednesday class want to do Dee's Open Up Your
Heart too - Many were at Scarborough where she released it & want to dance
it with her at our MaggieG day up here on 27th March, so that's an early-bird
teach next week ........ The main revision was on A&S's Scarborough release
Way Love Goes & Dee's night club One Day You Will which are also very
popular - Lots to revise next week including American Cowboy & Parachute
which we did not get to do this week - Wild & Stomp too - And Stuff You
Gotta Watch, Shoes Of Another Man & Sunglasses.
I'd been
learning Faith & Desire for this week - Looking forward to doing it at
Hinckley this weekend - But they wanted to do Tic Tok Drop this week - I've sort
of learnt it but with the jumps & arms I've been chicken with this one so
far - My funky late-birds wanted it this week though - Truth is they had been
practicing it - And it was more like they taught it to me - Certainly the arms
& styling - Thanks girls xxx .......... We'll be recapping this & other
recent ones next week including No Salvation, Stupid In Love, Do U Remember
& Get On Down ..... We'll have new ones from Hinckley this weekend to work
on looking forward !! :-) I've already had a request for Jordan's latest ones
next.
Cheers.

SUBJECT: CRUISE NEWS -
OUR LAST COUNTRY DANCE CRUISE TO EASTERN CARIBBEAN ON CARNIVAL LIBERTY
FROM: ALAN AND LIKA KOHN
CRUISE NEWS
We would like to extend our big thanks, hugs and gratitude to all our
friends who participated our Country Dance cruise, to the instructors Roz
and Nat Morgan from Maryland, to Bob Bonett and Vivian Candela. Dances
were taught, reviewed and danced literally everywhere. On the Lido Deck by
the pool, in the Disco, on the beautiful sands of Grand Turk Island, in
Margaritaville (or as I renamed it Buffetville), over Peach on The Beach
(Lika's deadly drink) and again at the Mega Party by the Lido Deck.
GO HERE
FOR DANCES TAUGHT
GO HERE FOR PICTURES.
Pictures can also be seen
on Alan's Gazette. Just go to our website
www.premiereentertainment.org
and click on Alan's Gazette. You may also find a list of dances taught on this
wonderful expedition.
We are back and we are glowing. Well; some of us also with their tans. All
of us in awe and euphoria due to a wonderful Country Dance Cruise on
Carnival Liberty in the Eastern Caribbeans.
That voyage proved to be a very successful Country Dance event with
over 100 dancers who meshed and mingled an hour after they met. Everyone danced
all the time. We had dance lessons and open dances in the morning, as well as in
the afternoon. We all became good friends right away and became a great group
with laughs, giggles, dances and tons and tons of pictures. Smiles
everywhere. I only took over 400 pictures. We know of others that took
hundreds as well.
We made great friends with dancers from all states including Reno,
Nevada and California who just found us on the web and decided we were the
best idea for a cruise. It was also great to see some old friends under
different circumstances.
They were romantic hookups in the beautiful sunset of the Caribbeans
(no, I will not tell you who!). There were constant smiling faces. There was
genuine camaraderie.
Everyone, with no exception inquired about our next cruise. We already have
a nice number of dabcers wishing to participate in our next dance cruise.
We believe this was the first of many to come.
See you next year on our next
cruise!

in Maui
One of my students is going to Maui April 11-18 and was wondering if there
was any line dancing happening on Maui. Not sure where she is staying but on
South side. I know there is a great contingency of dancers in Hawaii so must be
some there.
