Is it possible to extract the unit of the indicators?

Is there a way of obtaining the units of the data? say in the API
query or from the data definition?

I can see it is possible for me to use regular expression to extract
it from the name but is it possible to provide the unit in the
definition?

I don't see the unit information in the output either. I also think it
would be great to have this.

On the application end of things, it is quite critical. For instance,
I'm faced with a situation where in order for me to show a line chart
with multiple indicators, I need to allow only the indicators with the
same units. Otherwise, the measure values e.g., a currency amount, and
percentage, would get piled up on the same axis and become meaningless.

The curated approach is the unfortunate alternative. Unless there is an
external document somewhere we could make use of.. but a quick search
didn't reveal anything.

Thanks for your comments. Right now you can extract the unit from
indicator name. We are working on this to show the unit separately.
