WordPress PHP Extension: Final Status Report

The major hold up has been fixed and major work is underway on the
WordPress PHP extension. I'll be working on it passed the Google
Summer of Code, because it is so much fun! I'll have code available to
my mentor by Tuesday and finish my evaluation by then also.

Hey,

thanks for this discussion it shows that most important thing in search
engines is relevance. However, I find it hard to test alone. Improving
search results needs real blogs, real installations and many users. For
now our search engine suports different weighting words from title,
body, tags, etc... Moreover, it is important how many times word is used

“precision” is an incredible imprecise word. Moreover, “relevance”
means different things for different persons. If you’re serious about
improving relevance, the only way to go is to assemble a test team
large enough to be representative of most different search interests

Changed servers, so I spent a lot of time moving domains. Didn't get
much work done. I'm giving the transferring of the domains the finger,
because I really, really need to have the Plugin API finished before
the end of the week, so that testing and debugging can commence for.

[WPSoC] The search system project update

Hello,
This week I concentrated on developing new plugins. I've finished some
bits on google plugin and starting to develop lucene plugin. Lucene
plugin has basic functionality by now. There is also basic admin panel.
This week I will concentrate on polishing code, adding some missing
features, testing code and writing documentation.
