looking for plugin recommendations

Hi!  I'm planning on building a couple of "community" WordPress websites and am looking for plugin recommendations.  I'm looking for an article submission plugin, a business directory plugin (I'm leaning towards http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/connections/ but am open to recommendations), a forum plugin and any other plugin(s) a community website needs. ;)

Deanna, 

  I help run my neighborhood website and as well as my previous neighborhood's website.  I put together a page that describes all the Wordpress plugins I currently have installed as well as their purpose at this URL.

I recommend all of the listed plugins on that page, but I am also always looking for advice on improved plugins.  I use bbpress for our forum which seems to be working well so far.

       Thanks a lot for your reply.  I really appreciate it!  I love it when a website lists the plugins it uses.  I own eight WordPress websites and will see if I "need" any of the plugins for any of them. ;)  Someone in a different WordPress group recommended http://www.wpsymposium.com, which looks promising.
