Creating a wordle

Hi,

I checked out your faq's for this issue but it doesn't appear to be
there. Anyway, when I click on create a word cloud in wordle, my
internet explorer stops working ( crashes). It happens everytime I try
to create a word cloud. I'm using vista operating system and internet
explorer 7. I would be grateful if you could let me know what the
problem might be. I am a trainee teacher and I was considering using
this application in class.

Hi Patrick

I have a similar problem every time I use IE as my browser when I want
to create a wordle. What works for me is to use Firefox as the browser
instead. No idea why this should make any difference, but it does!
(Firefox is a free alternative to IE, and has given me no trouble at
all. You can download it from here: http://www.ukfirefox.com/ or by
googling Firefox.)

I use IE most of the time on my office comnputer, but switch to
Firefox when I need to create a wordle. Having two browsers on the
same machine doesn't seem to cause any problems - they don't interfere
with each other.

I am also using IE7 and have never had any problems. What version of
Java do you have installed? Mine is ver 6 update 17. You can find out
from control panel -> programs -> Java.
If yours is older, it might be worth updating and seeing if that
helps.
