As a newbie, I just started to use Wordle: I expected the following
(basic?) capabilities from one of the leader of word clouds:
- generate a cloud from a root page of a site including the page tree
down to N levels, without the constraint linked to atom or RSS feed,
- generate a cloud from a set of windows files (html, .doc,
searchable .pdf,...), by just entering a windows path in which are the
files.
That would be so nice to get these features, and that would allow
newbies to use Wordle. I'd like to understand why Wordle make thinks
difficult for beginners.Technically, these features maybe not easy to
implement...(?)
Do you know a tool that offers this kind of features?

It is the utter simplicity of wordle that makes it so useable.  If it got as complicated as describe, newbies would never be able to figure it out without a manual.
