Is there a blog or website that is dedicated to Wordle and/or similar
online tools.

I'm wondering if there is someone who writes about the different ideas/
things they can do with Wordle.

Is someone out there experimenting with Wordle and creating posts to
show us? This group is helpful with solving problems but I'd love to
have a resource to follow that shows me how to do more with Wordle (or
similar apps).

Not that I know of. There are some great tips and ideas in this forum
but all you can really do is browse through and see if anything
inspires you. It's worth it though, because its not just problems -
there are some really creative ideas here.

Here's some selected forum articles which I've contributed to:

Top 20 uses of wordle http://thecleversheep.blogspot.com/2008/10/top-20-uses-for-wordle.html

My top three tips are:
1. Wordle advanced gives you total control. Using a spread sheet to
create the input text makes it very simple to format it correctly and
quickly. http://groups.google.com/group/wordleusers/browse_thread/thread/c8a874df404f5a5e/2af4a4c4788598ed?q=#2af4a4c4788598ed
2. Don't forget the "open in window" button. It allows you to chage
the shape of the wordle - its not perfect but it does give you some
control.
3. You can never go back! If you think the result is quite
interesting, but could be better, take a screen shot or save the
wordle to the gallery *before* you press randomize or change
anyything!

Mike,

What a great response! You put some work into it!

On some of the forums I use, they have posts called 'stickies' or post
that are listed at the top and considered info only....I'm sure you
know what I mean. Can Google groups do something like that?

For example, we have a list of ideas/resources (that you politely
provided) that members can add to. Granted it will get messy with
repeated suggestions and questions meant for another post...but what
do you think? Maybe we could have another site, like a wiki? I don't
know...I'm just thinking outloud. I belong to several Google groups
and this one seems to be active and have members that are sincere.
(So far, no requests for Nigerian Wordle Loans)

If this is something that you or anyone else thinks is a decent idea,
we could brainstorm a little.

Thanks again for the quick response and taking the time to provide a
thorough answer.
