Hey Folks,

I made a short preview video (5:46) of some of the pots in the 4th firing of the Hobagama wood fired kiln. These are from the front setting above the floor shelf so there are a lot more in need of cleaning off the sharps with my chunk of silicon carbide kiln shelf and some Norton BlackIce 600 grit waterproof  paper my pal Rick gave me to polish the flecks of ash smooth. It looks like some handled mugs will need a heavy duty lapidary treatment to smooth the lips where ash got too crusty. Even though they would look cool as a tea bowl the handle in relation to the ash deposit limits their function and the trimmed foot ring on about a dozen seems too narrow so they become top heavy when almost empty creating a possible spill hazard so I might scrap them. Next time I make mugs I'll see about designing one with a wider flat no-trim bottom or a wider foot ring for stability.

Thanks for watching and stay in there eh.
