Kathryn E. Womack (Betty)
WOMACK, Kathryn E. (Betty) (nee Trout), went home to be with the Lord
on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Betty, a resident of Elk Twp., for the
last 61 years ,was born on July 30,1915 to Clinton and Kathryn Trout
of Magnolia, NJ. Betty is predeceased by her husband, J. Lee Womack
and her son John L. Womack Jr., her parents, Clinton & Kathryn Trout,
her brother, J. Nelson Trout, and her sisters Audrey F. Cramer, and
Evelyn B. Askew. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey N. Womack of Elk
Twp.. Also survived by her sister-in-law Marion Blose of Williamstown
and many nieces and nephews spanning three generations in NJ, Fl,
AZ,OH and NC. She is also survived by her "family" of neighbors, the
Flamma, Lawrence, Sanders and Scoleri families and long time friends
in her church community. Betty attended Magnolia public schools and
graduated from Haddon Heights High School as Valedictorian in 1932.
After high school she went to work for NJ Bell Telephone Co. in
Camden, NJ . Betty met her future husband, Lee, in 1947, on a blind
date. After nineteen years, and now a supervisor with Bell Telephone,
she decided to leave her job in 1952 to start their family.
