Parents,
On October 27, 2009 from 7 - 8:30 pm at Roy C. Ketcham HS, John
Halligan will give a presentation to parents on "Bullying,
Cyberbullying, and Youth Depression." Mr. Halligan is a nationally
recognized speaker on this topic and will discuss strategies for
parents to help them take preventive actions with their own children.
John's son, Ryan, died by suicide on October 7, 2003 after being
bullyied by classmates at school and online. He was 13 years old. Mr.
Halligan's presentation will cover the lessons learned too late for
his family regarding how to deal with bully, cyberbullying, and teen
depression.
A suggested donation to the RCK PTSA, who is sponsoring the night, is
$2 per person collected at the door.
