2nd Quarter Reward Day

Due to the two snow days this week we will need to reschedule the 2nd
quarter reward day. The 2nd quarter reward day will be held next Friday,
February 11. Students will be notified by invitation if they earned the
reward. The reward day activity is board games. Students were poled as to
what games they would like to play, and asked if they could bring board

Academic Challenge Meet

The 5th and 6th Grade Academic Challenge meet that was scheduled for today
at the Jackson Learning Center in Sandusky has been canceled. It will be
rescheduled and as soon as we get that information we will get that to the

Early Dismissal Tuesday, December 21

Bands Perform at Woodlands

The Huron High School Concert Band and the 6th Grade Band from Woodlands
held a concert on Tuesday for the staff and students at Woodlands. The two
bands even performed a song together. The students did a great job and
showed just how talented the students in Huron are. Thank you to the band
members and Mr. Ladd for an outstanding concert showcasing our music

The 6th Grade Band Concert that was canceled on Monday due to the weather
has been rescheduled for this Monday, December 20 at 7:00 at McCormick
Junior High.

5th Grade Stone Lab Field Trip Canceled

The 5th grade field trip to Stone Lab that was scheduled for this week has
been canceled due to weather. We were contacted this morning and they have
canceled the field trip for both Tuesday and Wednesday. They will contact
us in the spring and we will reschedule the trip. More information will be
sent home regarding the trip in the spring as soon as we receive it.

Building Security

The building security system at Woodlands is now up and running. Just like
at all the other buildings in the district, visitors will need to come to
the front door and be "buzzed" in. With so many exterior doors this allows

Woodlands Children’s Garden Fall Clean-up

The Woodlands Children�s Garden is in dire need of some weeding and
thinning of perennials. This is a very large garden and much help is
needed. A community work day is planned for Saturday, September 18, 2010
from 9:00-10:30 AM. Gloves, shovels, and other garden tools will be
provided. If you can bring a wheelbarrow, it would be quite helpful.
