Art Gallery/Folk Fest resuable tickets?

I think that I may have discovered a flaw in the ticket dispensing system at
the WAG.....

(some may recall the infamous Birdshill Folk Festival thread where it was
reveiled that one can still save 40 beans and buy a used wrist strap for $10
from someone who is leaving early)

Anyhow... at the wag..where I paid $6 for what really should be a $3
ticket... they give you a small metal badge to wear which apparently
indicates that you've paid.

You wear it home.

So I don't know if you could go again with the same bagdge?

No...I wouldn't ..but why can't they give out regular tickets like everyone
else?

PS; interesting Jade show but the Ukrainian wall art was almost more
interesting. The Chinese princesll jade body suit shows very big feet... in
some dynasties Chinese women would have their feet bound so that they would
be misformed into very tiny feet..which were considered a status symbol of
sorts.

Good scam. I've got an even better one...just go on Wednesdays, and you can
enter without even buying one of those little tags in the first place. Then
you can REALLY stick it to WAG!

Yes its free on Wed and I think on Saturday ....

The place hasn't changed a smidgeon in about 20 years... maybe a new rug and
coat of paint...

I think the same Eskimo carving by Uglak Guglak from 1970 is still in the
same spot... two walruses doing it on a rock while a whale blows something
in the ocean'....

The only reason I said that is to emphasize the point that WAG's mandate
isn't like that of many concert promoters, i.e. to separate as many people
from their cash as possible using entertainment as a vehicle. WAG is all
about the art, and they have a free day to accommodate people who are unable
to pay the admission charge, modest as it is.
