File for preset 'slow' not found

I can't convert videos any longer with winff on kubuntu 11.10. none of
the presets work and I am using the presets for libavcodec53 v3. Here
is my output. any ideas?

I tried v4 but no dice. I decided to compile ffmpeg, lame, libx264 and
libfaac from source but no change. Here is the output I get when I try

Your ffmpeg is not libx264 enabled. Compiling libx264 outside of ffmpeg
does not do anything, as ffmpeg itself needs to enable it. Usually, you
can get it by installing libavcodec-extra-53. No need to compile your
own ffmpeg just for that.

Sorry, but then I don't get it. Your subject of the e-mail is something
different than the body of the mail. It clearly says:

which means that libx264 is not enabled.

If you are really not able to find the preset "slow", try downloading
the lates presets file from our download section [1], import it into
Winff and try again. We replaced the calls to FFMPEG presets by the
proper settings.

Hi Bart,

I am not sure if we are misunderstanding each other, but I clearly say
that your ffmpeg needs to enable libx264 internally for it to work. I
don't see it in the configuration options that are displayed in your
earlier e-mail so I still don't think you compiled ffmpeg correctly for
libx264. Winff is just using ffmpeg, so that needs to be fixed. Having
libx264 enabled on your system is just not enough for ffmpeg. Please
have a look a the ubuntu forums:
