I'm gettting the following error on a page that was loaded by windmill, but
not when doing the same steps elsewhere. I wonder if this is a proxy bug.
Does the error below suggest anything to y'all?
Exception happened during processing of request from ('127.0.0.1', 4942)
Traceback (most recent call last):

It seems the problem was due to our intranet. I used another
connection for downloading the stuff, it worked.
I think, there should be a download package somewhere, users can
simply download and install offline. Currently, there is no complete
package of windmill that can be installed offline.

You can also install all the dependencies separately, and then download windmill source from github and install it that way. Please let us know if that is your only option and we can outline the dependencies you will need.

Adam

It sure sounds like something at your office (firewall? antivirus?) is
preventing you from downloading. Perhaps talk to whoever maintains your
firewall & AV for suggestions.

--
Jeff Fry

[link]
[link]

Hi Lally, I'd be happy to answer questions. The best place to ask them is
likely on the #windmill IRC channel.

Alternately, feel free to add a bit more detail. Where in this process are
you stuck? What specifically did you do, and what did you see? Or which
instruction don't you understand?

This sounds like the windows proxy isn't getting set correctly, can you do the following for me:

Launch windmill for IE
Goto the internet options and check the http proxy
(I need to know if it's set, if it's pointing to localhost)

Adam

 Hi,

I’ve just started with windmill (version 1.3) after I heard the
presentation at the DEVOXX 09
and everything works fine on firefox,
but on IE8 and on safari I always get a HTTP-Status 404: The requested
resource … is not available.
Windmill is installed on Windows XP.

Do you have any ideas?

It looks like what is happening is that xmarks is returning something even though the right page isn't being found. I suggested he start at login.xmarks.com and then do an open, which appears to make things behave correctly, however I believe the syntax to append retry domains has changed recently and was wondering what that was as another approach to solving the problem..
