trash bags leak. both feet got wet and cold quickly. most importantly I
got there so late there was no one around except for the mermaids and I
didn't get caught. in and out undetected. the mermaids at CC have me under
their spell. can't wait till new boots get here so i can spend mor time
with them. wind waves sail board fin all alone in the dark vulnerable.

windsurfing i believe is faster the colder the water

I was told by a guy at a windsurf shop (don't remember which) said cold
water makes white caps at a higher wind speed and warm water makes white
caps at a lower wind speed. cold water is denser until it freezes. a
board should have better floatation in colder water since the water is
denser. water being less wavey when cold I would imagine those two features

I ordered some new 7mil boots with bamboo added. They're supposed to be
water proof. I hope they show up before next good wind. I'll let everyone
know how they work. A shop in oregon has them. Creve Couer can be a
great place for some flat water speed runs if you get lucky and get a
blasting gust. But the wind is squirlly. Ted

Rich, i have only been windsurfing for 4 years. I was at C C lake one or two
years ago and someone was kiting. Then I thought I read the next day
someone on wind fun st louis wrote they got tangled in their kite
strings.and almost drowned that day. I thought it was someone named Rich.
I could very much be wrong. I thought the kiter said it was at Creve

I have probably the biggest starboard board ever made. Its a huge wide 200
litre starboard go board. if the wind is light it is unlikely anyone would
fall of of it. My mistral compteition is stable also. I will bring both. I
have 8 sails. two masts booms universals. Everyone can have a ride if there

Michael Pew took 381 photos of me windsurfing Creve Couer the day after
Hurricane flooded Creve Couer last fall. Chris, How can I get them on the
web site. Some are awesome! I just figured out how to email this site. I
can down load to a c d to somone more technical. Some of these pics are
what windsurfing in st. louis is all about. Got some real fast runs

got 2 hours windsurfing in from 3:30 to 5:30 Dec 3, 2009. put wool socks on
but they got wet because boots are not water proof. feet were freezing

Thanksgiving day windsurfing at Creve Couer.

put wet suit on over dry suit. stayed warm except for feet which were numb
the whole time. was on the water for 2.5 hours. had a few good runs but got
out too late for the good wind. need to get boots that are real thick. If i
can figure out how to keep feet warm with like 10 mil boots I can withstand
