Matt, Rich, Dan, Tammy and myself launched from Dam East boat Ramp. I sailed a 5.5 for almost 2 hours then it got too windy to hold on. Rich sailed a 4.8 and was dialed in after the wind peaked. Dan was ripping on a 6.0. Matt kited on a 7 meter and was seen getting massive, circus-like, 30 foot airs..... Big enough to crack his board. 3 other guys from Mid-Illinois kited out of Coles Creek. I could see them, but didn't get a report on their session.
Wind was very steady a filled in. One of the best days in a long time.
Rich, Dan, and Tammy said they could sail Tuesday, I'm very doubtful and Matt is unavailable.
If tomorrow is anything like today, it would be worth going out.
Chris

How was Carlyle today? Anyone heading out there tomorrow? I may be able to get out of work for the afternoon if anyone is going out.

Looks like Matt and I will be heading back up today as well. We'll stop by the boat ramp to see if it's good enough for a kite launch, otherwise we'll be at Coles Creek. There's a couple of guys from Clinton Lake who might be heading down as well.
See you on the water.

Rich,
Sorry I missed your call Sunday. Charlie also left a call on my answering machine. I was in Ohio hang gliding and didn't know about the wind until yesterday. Tammy and I came back last night and packed the van. We will be leaving for carlyle in the next hour or so. It is starting to blow here at the house right now so we will be at either Coles Creek or the boat ramp.
Regards,
Dan Johnson
