I'm in.  I think we can talk Keese, Dan, and others to join the fun.  It's really good event and a good excuse to spend time on the water.  I'll contact the folks at Clinton Lake and see if they're coming.

Kitrers

Have you ever sailed Lake Shelbyville in ILL?

I just flew over it on Monday in a Cessna at about 3000 ft,  and it looks like the water table is low as I saw alot of beach around it.
From the air it looked like a great place for kiters to launch because of the wide shoreline.

Didn't Larry post something about this lake?  The KC group gets 20-30 windsurfers out there on good weekends.

I did find it on the map.  There is a large "Beach Area" near the dam that looks good for kiting.  Perhaps it's worth a road trip for the local kiting community.  Probably a 2 hour drive?

looks like rops or something off-shore from the beach?  there is some sort of straight-line box in the sat photo.

pretty busy lake, lots of boats north of the beach !

that is a long drive, I've gone to Effinham for the annual corvette show there and seems like it took forever.

Some of the central and northern ILL windsurfers sail this lake, and I
believe they have had races there. It is fairly small like
Springfield, il and I'm not sure why we would go there.
