We have a couple of potential days coming up, and I was wondering if
anyone is considering going to Carlyle, or perhaps Kansas City?
Tomorrow (Fri) shows good isobars all over the place, but the
forecasts for Carlyle are inconsistent...Weather.com says 15-25, but
all the other sites show it lower. KC is more of a certainty, with
South @20-30 forecasted on all sites. Even Thomas hill looks
promising, and it's only 2.5 hours from Chesterfield. I'm considering
going there or perhaps Smithville or Pomona.
Saturday here looks more promising but the NOAA site shows 13.

I can't make it Friday but will be at Carlyle Satudary if the wind
forecast holds: at the time of this writing they're giving 15mph base
wind from the SSW with gusts up to 23 mph between 10AM and 1PM.

I am now working in Kansas City and should be here until March if not
longer. And YES the wind is better here! I have my ACL surgery on the 13th
so I am not able to windsurf until next year but figured I would let you all
know so in case you want to come this way and visit/windsurf. I haven't
brought any equipment to KC yet (too tempting to actually try and go out
when I shouldn't!). Also, Amtrak does a twice daily run between STL and KC
for $26. So at some point you all want to head this way for a windsurfing
weekend, let me know, and I will make sure to bring equipment and will offer
to chaueffer. My surgeon says I should be cleared to ride the motorcycle
again in 2 months, so windsurfing should be right behind that! I haven't
secured permanent diggs yet, tossing up between having an RV out here or an
apartment/house so for now doing the extended hotel thing. I am home in
Troy, IL on the weekends right now but can always stay in KC to play hostess
LOL!

Weather Underground is reporting already good wind in the Carlyle
area. I'm leaving for Coles Creek; i'll be there between 10 and
10:30. Hope to see you there,
Juan
