This video is awesome...Jospeh Ward is somewhere in the middle...
Yeah, makes me wonder why I am sitting here working for the man when I could be out perfecting my skills. Of course, that would take years of work at my level !
Let's see, in order to get that good, I would have to 1) quit my job, 2) move to a more kite-friendly locale, 3) put my wife to work to support the family.

That was incredible. I used to barefoot ski. Looks like I'll need to pick that up again. Is today-tomorrow kiteable?

Took the day off and rode out to Carlyle to see if I could get some
late season action. Wind was great, sunny, but the water
temperature...OUCH! I have a 3/2 full suit, but there was NO WAY I
was trying it...it must be close to Smithville's reading of 54 deg.
Looks like my compass will point south for the next several months.

When Carlyle turns cold, it does it very quickly. Two weeks ago the water was very tolerable in a 3/2. And I'm a big time wimp when it comes to water temps (Just ask Rich).
Did Juan make the journey to Smithville? Looking for a session report.

I'm not young enough any more to drive to Smithville by myself, kite
for a few hours and drive back in the same day ... but I'm not old
enough yet to avoid the cold water and would have gone; however,
nobody responded to my message to go with and share the driving and
had to stay home. So, the only report available would be the wind
history at Smithville for yesterday: it was good; i.e. it was a good
forecast and would have been fun.

Tammy and I spent over 2 hours at Harbour Light today, great winds and flat water with a slight wind shadow. Temps were not that bad with the sun out. Hope to see more people there Saturday, looks like a good West wind...perfect for Dam East.
I'm sick as a dog! Of course it's been windy! Hopefully I'll be fully recovered by Saturday. You should've sent a notice you were heading out. I'm sure others would've joined if they knew you were going.
OK back to bed,
CM
