Just so you’ll know, the Cedar Hill
Police Department has some very valuable services that we should all take
advantage of.

In Wildwood, our officer is Tammie Cooper.
She came to our house Tuesday night and performed an inspection of our house
and recommended a few items that we could install to make our house safer
against burglaries. These include a sliding door lock, a latch shield with
3” screws for exterior doors (to prevent a burglar from kicking in the
door), and plastic window locks.

She filled out some paperwork which we can
now submit for a reduction in our insurance premiums.

She also recorded the VIN numbers on our
cars, which will be recorded with police departments nationwide in the event
that one of our cars is ever stolen. A decal was affixed to the rear window of
each car so police can identify them as members of the program, which is called
H.E.A.T. (Help End Auto Theft).

The whole procedure took only 30 minutes –
and it’s free!

They also have a burglar alarm monitoring
service that is very affordable, and eliminates the middle man so the police
get there faster.

If you live in Cedar Hill, call officer
Tammie Cooper at 972-293-5284, ext. 2192, to schedule your inspection and
H.E.A.T. registration.

Forgive me if you get this twice.
I’m trying to get the word out, and some of my addresses may overlap.

p.s.

Joan, can you please post this on the
Wildwood website?

Block Captains, please let the folks in
your watch group know about this. I don’t have everyone’s email
address.

Thanks!
