What a great question! I wish I knew. I have no idea how long it's going to take to check each voter's ID to make sure they are full WE members. I will keep your request in mind.

Hi everyone,

As the founder of WikiEducator, this is a proud moment to see the official closure of voting for our first democratic elections.  I want to express a special word of thanks to Nellie and Patricia who have carried out the election procedures in an exemplary and most professional manner.  I also want to thank the members of the Interim International Advisory group who agreed to help me and WikiEducator in the early phases of our development knowing that they would relinquish their leadership positions once the community reached 2500 users.

In preparation for a talk I gave earlier this week, I went back to our strategic milestones specified in COL's initiative plan for WikiEducator and noted that we set a target of 2500 users for Jan 2009.   WikiEducator achieved this milestone 18 months ahead of its strategic plan. 

I think we are reinvigorating the traditions and values of education, namely that the purpose of education is to share knowledge freely.

A proud milestone for the community --- now lets continue breaking records!
