Dear all,
Here is one more species of Impatiens (dalzalli), documented by Raju Shinde
of St Xavier's College, Mumbai.
I have tried to germinate seeds of  some of the wild varieties, but could
not manage.
Is there dormancy in the wild that is not present among the garden variety?

Dear Colleagues,
1. After about a month, the *Impatiens Group* is getting re-activated: Here
is a beautiful article on *Kin Selection Behavior in Plants*. These are
highly doable reasearch even in small colleges.

2. The added find is that *AJB*, the  *American Journal of Botany* is a
wonderful Plant Science Journal and it is Free Access. Enjoy
Cheers!
