Feature: Visual navigation to organize -- mind-map style

Hi, great job, WikiPad is awesome.

However, I've stopped using it since discovering PersonalBrain, in
which I do
everything now. That's because my wikipad got too large to be useful.
Things
drifted to dusty corners never to be seen again. It is the best for
writing
thoughts down quickly -- the weakness is organizing them all!

In contrast, PersonalBrain is ultra-strong on organizing -- I visually
navigate
around among my thoughts with ease. But it's weak on text entry. In
the end, I
capture less of my thoughts with it -- but it's still more useful
because of the
visual organization and connected-thought navigation.

Using both isn't an option, because both tools are geared towards the
same
thing: capturing thoughts quickly and organizing them. Splitting
between the
two was like splitting my head "now which did I enter that into?" It
was
disorienting using the two together -- I felt lost!

Sooooo.. I miss WikiPad -- love the flow of writing it all down. Don't
suppose
there's any chance to take a look at PersonalBrain and try to get some
simple
visual equivalent going for WikiPad?

Hi Sean,

I have had a similar experience. Unfortunately, the problem I've had with PersonalBrain is that you cannot sync it with Dropbox. The full version with web sync is very expensive.

I'm now looking back at WikidPad simply because I have to be able to sync my information across multiple computers easily.

As for including the benefits of PersonalBrain in WikidPad, I think the following would be useful:

- The ability to drag and drop files and URL links into the entry, and have them be stored internally (in folders stored in the database which one can place in Dropbox.

Thanks so much! The other thing that would be very useful is for the parents of a wiki-page to be listed automatically at the bottom of the page. One of the things that makes PersonalBrain so useful is how fast it is to navigate because both parents, children, and siblings are just one click away.

It seems it should be easy to add such a feature - it might even be possible to do with a simple addon or such?
