Bulk import simple hierarchy of folders & text files?

Hi,

I'm migrating from OSX to Linux. On OSX, I used DevonThink as a
'personal database'. It exports all its data nicely as a hierarchy of
folders continaing plain-text data files.

My goal is to get that data into a capable/similar app on Linux.

There is a bug in lib/pwiki/SqliteThin3.py.
At line 97, the statement

pyver = tuple((int(s) for s in platform.python_version_tuple( )))

Assumes that python versions are always integers. Unfortunately this
is wrong. The most recent version of Ubuntu linux, 9.10, uses python
version 2.6.4rc2. The tuple returned by python_version_tuple() is

Try something like e.g.
file:///C:/Bitmaps/image.jpg>r 70%
or
[file:///C:/Bitmaps/image.jpg> r70% ] (space before ']' is important)
This scales "image.jpg" down to 70% of its original width and height. If
you want a non-proportional scaling, you can also use e.g.
file:///C:/Bitmaps/image.jpg>r 70%x50%

Hi,

when I include images into my wiki notepad, I often want to scale them
down. But I want to scale them down proportional.

How can I do this without calculating the width and height by hand?

compact sqlite data file to have another name instead of wiki.sli

I have a question, can wikidpad compact sqlite file be named something
other than "wiki.sli" ?

I wish to put several wiki.sli on same flash disk directory, and they
can not have same name.

In the wikiname.wiki file, I have made some modification in data_dir
of each wiki.

Thank you.
This would be complicated (in addition to the conflict resolution) if
grandparents/grandchildren would be taken into account.
To find all child.* attributes which may affect a page it would be
necessary to find and look at all parents, grandparents, ... of this
page. And this must be done for all pages.

Many thanks for the feedback. As I'm completely new to Python it will
probably be a while before I produce anything of value to anyone. I
guess extensions are the best way to start, but some of my ideas are
probably primarily related to the core code base.
But - small steps first...

You can download the source code from [link]
(currently wikidPad 2.0beta07 source code or wikidPad 1.9rc08 source
code). Extract the files to a directory in your home directory. Change
to that directory and start WikidPad with "python wikidpad". Make sure
you have python-wxgtk2.8 and python >= 2.3 installed. You don't need

Hi - I've been using wikidpad for a while now - adding various
suggestions to poor Michael's todo list. I thought that I'd get off my
butt, and use Wikidpad development - as a tool for learning Python
etc. After all - if I want a change badly enough - I should be willing
to put some effort into building it.

Wikidpad is fantastic. Its ease of programmability/extensability is
starting to be reminiscent of a more user-friendly emacs...

On to my question. The global.* prefix to define wiki-wide attributes
and settings is very useful. Have you thought of a child.* prefix that
applies its settings to the 'children' of the current page, overriding
