Hello,
I posted a similar message in the Yahoo Groups list (http://
tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/wikidPad/message/5282), but I didn't
receive any answer, so I'm a bit confused on where I should post the
question, sorry if this is not the right place.
I'm a new Wikidpad user, and I'm really impressed by its features. At
the moment I'm using MoinMoin wiki with a full installation of Python
and Apache on Windows XP as a personal notebook and for creating and
mantaining glossaries (I work as a translator), and I'm considering
the possibility to replace everything with just Wikidpad.
My question is about creating a page from templates, I already found a
rather old post about this question here:
http://groups.google.com/group/wikidpad-devel/browse_thread/thread/b6...
I know it's possible to create a page from a template when the page is
a child of another page. What I am trying to do is create a new page
based on a template using the Go to Page... function (Ctrl-O). I think
it's not possible, but I'd like to know if there is any plan to
implement such a feature, maybe through a plugin too.
For glossaries, for example, I create a new parentless entry for every
new word based on a template. Ctrl-O is the most efficient way, as I
can see immediatly if the new entry I'm about to add is already in the
glossary. What I would like to be able to do in the Go to Page window
is to choose if creating a new blank page, or a new page based on a
template, maybe choosing them from a list. In MoinMoin, for
example, each page whose wikiname ends with the word Template is
automatically
presented in a list when creating new pages, so that the user can
select a
template or just create a new blank page.
Thanks and congratulations for this great program.
