I finally got a "testable" widget deployed.

It's a widget showing free disk space of a device/directory.

There are a lot of things on my todo list, like beeing able to
configure things, having several devices etc. But hey, it's an
educational thing for me so I'll get to them in due time :)

The almost non existing widget page:

Pär,

That is awesome!

I had some trouble with links and stuff, but I figured out some things
that may help...

First off, when you refer to your widget via a web page url, use a
syntax of the form:
http://widgetfx.org/dock/launch.jnlp?arg=http://pmdit.se/widgets/diskspace/launch.jnlp

The first half of the url will launch (and install if necessary) the
widgetfx dock. The second half (starting with "?arg=") will
auto-magically load your widget. Give it a try yourself, and please use
this anywhere you have a link to your widget.

Second, there are some broken links on your blog. Anywhere you
referenced your widget page as "http://pmdit.se/widgets/diskspace/"
without "index.html" at the end wouldn't navigate for me...

I really liked your explanation of config and other advanced WidgetFX
features. Also, Tango is an awesome find, I may start poaching some
icons from there as well.

Your disk usage monitor is going to be a new fixture on my dock. :-)

Cheers,

Thanks for the link tips and the index.html stuff. I hadn't really thought about auto-adding it to the dock, but that's really convenient! And I see that I need to update the server config with default pages :)

That's great to hear :)
