Greeting Brave CS Teachers,
UW-Platteville is once again hosting summer workshops that give high school students a preview of the full college experience. This year's workshops run June 22nd–24th, with two registration options: commuter at $100 and residential at $250, scholarships available. The workshop is targeted for current 8th graders and high school students. We have made minor exceptions for exceptional students.
We're offering two tracks running concurrently, all led by instructors from our Computer Science and Software Engineering Department:
More details are on our website. I've attached handouts with QR codes that you're welcome to pass along to students you think would be a good fit.

I'm considering putting together a guest speaker tour of Wisconsin high school classrooms, talking about CS at the college level and sharing info about our UW-Platteville summer workshops. Before finalizing dates and creating a sign-up sheet, I'd love to know if a college lecturer guest speaker would be a useful addition to your end of the year lineup.
Reply here or shoot me a note, and if there's enough interest I'll send out scheduling details next week.
Thanks,
Dan Rhode
