Well, I finally started my vacation time, and had the time to fix a bunch of longstanding issues. Sorry if this is a broken record, but I really appreciate your patience, and sorry I wasn't able to work on this for so long.
I just uploaded Whoosh 2.3.2 to PyPI, which includes a bunch of bug-fixes, including an error in the BM25F scoring formula. The code for this release is (confusingly) in the cleanup2.4 branch in the repo.
I'll send a separate email about how I messed up the repo :)
Cheers,
Matt

You do realise that Whoosh is fantastic? Thank you for your patience and
all your work on it!

You took too long, I want the money I spent on this back..... oh zero
cents, never mind ;-)
Seriously thank you for continuing to work on this and making it
available. Whoosh is what makes my home notes application so darn
useful to me. I'm toying with knocking up a throw away app for mining
my web bookmarks which I wouldn't consider doing without Whoosh.
I hope you get to enjoy your vacation!
