How I messed up the repo

Hi again,

So for the last couple of months, until my vacation started, I've been trying NOT to spend time on Whoosh, because I had so much work to do. But, I started some experimentation just as recreation some nights.

Unfortunately, I'm still not exactly a Mercurial expert, and didn't plan well, so I was committing my experiments to the default branch, so the tip was not a "shippable" version. I thought I would be able to move the commits into a branch at some point or just push it when it was all done. Unfortunately I accidentally pushed the changes to BitBucket at some point, so the tip wasn't working. Apologies to everyone who was pulling from the repo.

I still haven't figured out the right way to clean up this mess (if anyone has tips, please let me know). For the moment the tip is still the experimental code, and the PyPI version is on a branch called "cleanup2.4".

I'll see if I can find a way to rationalize the repo, and work on finishing the experimental changes so I can merge the heads again and do a 2.4 release.

Cheers,

Matt
