To Mark!
I know this is a cycling forum, but I had to post a Congrats to Mark
for passing his written pilots exam yesterday. A lot of nights after
work spent studying paid off. I am so proud of him.
Next comes the check ride practical test which I know he will pass
with flying (no pun intended) colors!
After that....its of into the wild blue yonder for us as he will have
his pilots license......do I hear the Bahamas calling...?

Congratulations Mark.  So does this mean we won't see you as much on the bike?  Maybe a folding bike is on your Christmas list?

Thanks Cory, actually, now that any spare snippets of time are no
longer needed to study for the written exam, I should be back on the
bike more. I've been envious reading all the CX reports. The goal
was to fit my pilot's license between road seasons. Unfortunately
some OT projects at work have extended it beyond my original goal.
With the Preseason Training race series expected in February, it's
gonna be close for me to get ready since I'm still looking at the
second or third week in January for the practical flight test. I'll
probably just plan for the season opener Jefferson Cup, but we'll see,
as I do like the Trade Zone series.

Well, good luck on your test; whenever you're ready for it.

 

And, since I will be a rookie for the Spring season any advice you can share is much appreciated.  Do you know the scheduled dates that the Wheelmen will be racing?  Which do you recommend?  DJ and I are really looking forward to the road series!
