the occasion of Australia Day, the Australian Embassy Cairo is proud to present
a range of public events to celebrate Australia Week in Cairo 2008.
Australian Food and Wine Festival from 1-8 February at
InterContinental Cairo

at the Australian Food and Wine Festival on 1-2 and 5-8 February.
Corroboree – The Seminar - 25
Years of Co-operation between Egypt and Australia in the field of Egyptology
- In cooperation with the Supreme Council of Antiquities
(SCA), a two-day seminar will be held in Cairo on 4-5 February to celebrate 25
years of Australian-Egyptian cooperation in Egyptology and discuss the on-going
important archaeological work between the two countries.

Corroboree
– The Exhibition
- In
cooperation with the SCA and the Egyptian
Museum,
Corroboree the Exhibition will be held at the Egyptian
Museum from 4 February – 4 March, featuring key artifacts associated
with Australian-funded projects in Egypt,
including from Sakkara,
Helwan, Thebes
and the Dakhla oasis.
