What's the popular amount of purchase to have on the vang and
cunningham? Our boat came with 4:1 on the cunningham, and 2:1 on the
vang. Is that the hot ticket, or should we make some changes?

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

The purchase ratios for the 28er control lines are limited by class
rules. For the most part, they must remain in the stock configuration.

There is a rigging guide for the 29er on the web which shows some of
the stock rigging but I don't have it handy at the moment. I'll dig
it up for you or will generate a memo describing the rigging
configurations.

Please don't hesitate to call me to ask any 29er rules questions.

Sincerely,
John Papadopoulos

Hi Mike,
I have attached the rigging manual for your reading.
You will see a very god illustration of the vang which uses two of the five
single blocks just below the mast step. The illustration of the cunningham
is not as clear as it only shows the two hook blocks attached to the sail.
You will note that both have the rope on the inside of the blocks returning
downwards. This is a continuous line that passes through the fifth single
block.
Regards
Ian

Thanks.
