This coming Friday April 5, the Westchase Artists Society will be participating in the First Friday event in Westchase Town Center. As we look forward to community support for our upcoming group show, I look to each one of you for your help in showing support to young artists in the Westchase community through your participation in this event. While I will not be able to attend this month, Susan Whitaker has bravely stepped up to organize the evening's activity. She will be guiding the children in creating simple pop-up cards that they can decorate with their art.
Please let me know if you will be able to share in the fun this Friday. Set up can begin around 3:00 or 3:30PM but must be completed by 4:15 because cars need to be moved off the street. The event begins at 5:00PM and runs until 9:00PM. Things usually begin to get busy around 6PM and Susan may end the evening a little early if it becomes too dark. Westchase Town Center is the group of shops that includes Burger 21, Tijuana Flats and World of Beer. If you are not able to attend for the entire evening, you can sign up to help for just a few hours. When you come, please bring a chair and water.

Please respond by Tuesday evening so that we know that we have enough volunteers to make this activity possible.

P.S. Dean: If you are going to be participating with your air planes, etc., I assume you will bring your usual tent and tables. I will verify with the organizer that we have space for two tents.
