West Asheville Gazette Goals:

-To connect more people online through local neighborhood AND whole neighborhood email listservs, WestAsheville.ning.com website, city neighborhood email newsletter.

-To connect more people in person with events such as neighborhood potlucks, City organized meetings about neighborhood issues and Haywood Rd. Cooridor planning, etc.

-To give people information on neighborhoods, crime update/reporting info, community gardens/farmers market updates, events, schools, etc.

Volunteer:

We have teams for Production/Editorial and Distribution and need lots of volunteers!  We will need lead organizers from each neighborhood to find people to cover certain streets. We will also need people to flyer in areas that are not "official" city neighborhoods that don't have leadership teams at the moment. The goal is to distribute the paper newsletters in April 2009.
