Subject: [wemta] Open Ed Resource Development LAST CALL!

LAST CALL!!!!!

DPI needs 2-3 K-12 Educators who are using or organizing OER in their district to participate with Achieve.org in their OER Institute. I have a couple of names but would like to get more so we can ensure proper coverage K12 inters of subject area and grade level. - SJC

This is a one year commitment, with one f2f meeting in Washington DC (this fall, expenses paid) and participation in monthly webinars to assist Achieve in helping Wisconsin educators
*       better understand OER
*       ascertain the quality of resources, and use them in the implementation of CCSS
*       assist Wisconsin in developing plans and processes by which implementation of OER will occur by building capacity at the local level.
*       use Achieve developed Rubrics to evaluate the quality of OER and alignment to the CCSS,
*       use the Achieve online tool to make the Rubrics more accessible to users and to capture ratings data to assist in the search and discovery of quality OER.
*       assist in development of an embedded rating interface or online Evaluation Tool for OER materials

---------------------------------------------------------------

As DPI is planning for a statewide resource portal and other statewide resource implementations, we are wondering if any EdTech or Library Media have begun to dabble or implement in OER (Open Ed Resource) development (think e-textbooks, digital content, learning objects) at the PK-12 school or district level?

If you know of someone or are that person, please drop me an email ASAP!

SJC
