Returning to NZ, where to work?

Hi list,

I'm moving back to NZ after quite a few years of being away, not sure yet where, but likely to be Welly or Auckland.  Does anyone have any tips about finding good places to work in NZ?  Where do companies (i.e. not recruiters) tend to post jobs?  Who are the big-dogs that use open source stacks in either Auckland or Wellington that are constantly recruiting?  I'm sticking my toe in the water at the moment, but so far I've been skimming trademe jobs, and I'm now looking for active mailing lists (ruby, python, java) to try and find companies to send my CV out to.

There is a high demand for Ruby programmers so your prospects should be pretty good  at either of the locations.
