Hi all,

here is an idea for next meeting: maybe we could do mini-presentations
where a few people talk about 5 things they love about their
development environment (IDE, debugger, testing tools, etc.).

To give you an idea of what I mean, I finally started to use the Rails
debugger (yeah, I am a late bloomer).
And now I just can't believe how I ever managed without it. It's
fantastic!

We could talk about favourite TextMate bundles, even favourite
TextMate shortcuts...

Does this sound interesting to anyone?

Hi,

I love those, but whenever I try to organise one nobody wants to
participate. :-(

I've actually already organised this months presentation, just not
posted about it here as been quite busy. But this would be fab for
next month. I have the month after that organised already too.

Nahum.

I feel your pain :-) As the coordinator of the Perl user group I know
from experience that the lightning talks meetings are very popular but
very hard to organise. It takes as much effort to get one person signed
up for a 5 minute talk as it does for a 30 minute talk so trying to fill
a schedule with 12 minute talks is a huge job for the organiser.

But if you do it, I'll be there!

Cheers
Grant
