Hello,

I video'd Errol's talk, and have extracted two MP3 files of the audio. I don't have a good place to put large media files, so currently they are sitting on my web server behind a domestic ADSL connection. Anyone who is desperate to listen to this talk can obtain the files from:

  http://www.skepticalhumorist.co.nz/WJUG-20090617-1.mp3 (main talk, ~40MB)
  http://www.skepticalhumorist.co.nz/WJUG-20090617-2.mp3 (finish and Q&A, ~40MB)

It will take ~30 minutes to download either of these, because of the slow connection. Sorry about that, and open to suggestions. I have the video too, but I am not placing the files on the server because they are much too large. I could place them on a DVD or USB key.

Now, even though Errol used my laptop to give the presentation, I neglected to take a copy of the slides, and he won't be able to make them available until he reaches the UK and recovers his computer. That was maybe the stupidest thing I did last week!

Finally, I doubt we will have a WJUG in July, because both Nigel and I are away for most of the next month, and we don't have any speaker yet lined up. We are looking for a speaker for August, if anyone has any ideas.

Regards

John Hurst

P.S. I attended the Scala user group in Melbourne last night, and it was awesome!

I copied these across to my U.S. based server, where they're accessible
as http://www.sosnoski.co.nz/WJUG-20090617-1.mp3 and
http://www.sosnoski.co.nz/WJUG-20090617-2.mp3 If you've got a decent
connection to the (monopoly) Southern Cross cable (half owned by
monopoly Telecom) you can download them from there quickly.
