* 15,000 to 18,000 executed for counterrevolutionary activities
* 1,000 extrajudicial assassinations
* 250 disappeared
* 500 died in prison for lack of medical attention
* 500 murdered in prison by guards
* 150 extrajudicial assassinations of women
That's a lot of deaths, and we could easily tackle Cuba (dispite failed
efforts in the 1960s) yet we don't. We liberate a country so far away,
a country many Americans don't know anything about. Saddam really
doesn't come close to Castro and his brutality.
Take Wade Fulp of Newgrounds.com for an example. The site has never
leaned towards conservatisim, and has an anti religious page even. But
because of 9-11, Wade Fulp would constantly post on the Newgrounds main
forum on how much the war in iraq is justified, that the world will be
a better place once it's done, how we're going to find nuclear weapons
(which he changed latter on to gas cannisters...you know those ones
Saddam got in the 1980's from THE US!!!) how anti war student movement
groups are "unamerican" and all this cockamamie crap, but once the
invasion was over and the facts were clear it was based on horseshit,
he just shut up. In fact he hasn't even talked politics since 2003.
He didn't even post his opinion on the 2004 US elections!
These are the kind of people that really piss me off.
