Subject: [Weird thing of the day] Beware of Arctic melting

Greetings.

Jewish date: 17 Marḥeshwan 5770 (Parashath Wayyera’).

Today’s quasi-holidays: National Chicken Lady Day, Waiting for the
Barbarians Day.

NOTE: In observance of Waiting for the Barbarians Day, I am spending
the day waiting for the barbarians.

Today’s news and commentary:

- “African Desert Rift Confirmed as New Ocean in the Making” Image of
the Bering Straight via Wikipedia
Today’s weird thing, submitted by Barry, is “Diomede Crossroads -
Saving the North Pole? Thoughts on plausibility”. The idea of this plan
is to dam the Bering Straight in an effort to save Arctic sea ice.
Enjoy and share the weirdness.

Aaron
