OK - so I did a little reading on the RI website. Interesting to read
about the organization's history. I knew some of the information, but
not all of it. I remembered that Paul Harris wasn't actually the
first President of his club.I was able to learn the answers to the
questions above, and also find out another fun tid-bit. Did you know
that in 1961, the RI convention was held in Tokyo, and the Emperor of
Japan was in attendance. That's pretty cool! Hope you all enjoyed
reading a little bit about our Rotary history. what other fun facts
did you guys come across?

Oh and did you know that Chicago was the birthplace of Rotary, and that as Centennial President and being involved in the International Convention held in Chicago I was so much a part of Rotary's history.  What an amazing experience, and when I traveled outside the States and visited other Clubs to say I was President in District 6440 brought upon an amazing interest.  I will always be thankful to be a Rotarian
