Hey everyone,

So i am trying to build a couple of applications using weblocks
because it looks like a cool framework and I really want to bring a
couple of commercial applications to the world using common lisp
(anyone has some advice with or against that).

In any case I was wondering if anyone has some example or something
that uses all the predefined widgets so that one could see what they
are how they are used etc...? If someone does do you mind sharing :)

Thanks in advance to everyone.

Regards,

Mackram

Hi,

I would start with examples/ and contrib/ directories - some things
there are really cool.

Best regards,

That's cool! A few production apps have already been deployed
with Weblocks.

Developing a Weblocks application requires some effort nevertheless.
Weblocks gives you great tools to build a web application, but it
currently doesn't have that many prefabricated widgets in core.

Most of the things (wizard, calendar, ...) have already been done
by someone though so when in doubt just ask here.

We currently don't have one application showing all of the widgets,
but it would be an excellent way to get to know Weblocks to build
this.

Hey so thanks to Leslie and Tomek for their answers. I checked the
examples and contrib and still need a little work with the widgets to
figure them out. In any case my first order (after setting my website)
is to create this tutorial showing how to use each widget as
effectively as I know how. So any help anyone can point out would be
great.

Quick question though for all the widgets that have been done but not
in the core can anyone point out to. I am willing to test those too
and write about them. I know it sounds a handful but I am
determined :).

There's the nascent manual at

http://viridian-project.de/~sky/user-guide.stx.html

which already provides some hints.

I have a nice first candidate for you then. It's the wizard widget:

http://paste.lisp.org/display/76229

It needs data abstraction and tests.

Take a look at it and ask any questions that might come up.
