## Evented Web

Since this is now the only active resource on webhooks, I'd like to reframe it as about the Evented Web. Unfortunately, unlike other Google Groups, I'm not able to change the email address, but I've renamed the group to "Evented Web".

## Program the World

I gave a talk recently that explained the REAL reason I've bothered with any of this. It talks about my desire for us all to Program the World and requires the Evented Web and webhooks.

This and the ideas around it have been getting a lot of interest and are all part of the bigger picture that caused me to say "we need webhooks".

## HTTP Subscriptions

Getting HTTP Subscriptions to a usable state should be the priority of this group. There are a number of projects waiting for this spec. If there is one output of this group that has any lasting significance, I think it will be HTTP Subscriptions ... even though there are many other specs and useful formalizations around the idea of webhooks.
