WebCenter Social: foundation

Hello everyone,

since WebCenter Social (including the Social Network and real-time
collaboration), I'm able to find enough documents telling met what it
is and what it's purpose is.
None of them tells me what the foundation is for this new product?
Where does it come from? Where is it based on?

Does anyone have more information on this?

Hi Filip,

What I knew before they change the name from WebCenter Connect to WebCenter Social is that it was based on a conversation management system called Oracle OnTrack which is a separate Oracle Product, and not made with Oracle ADF, as I'm trying to access Oracle OnTrack document I realized they are trying to tell people "Forget about the Old Oracle OnTrack and focus on the new WebCenter Social, and Social Networking" as I can see from the screenshot(s) in the WebCenter Social page on Oracle.com is that they are using the same old Oracle OnTrack in a new customized interface, still no way to be sure.
