Hi folks,
I'm trying to install 6.2 on a compact flash.

I've dd'ed the .iso to a compact flash, but it won't boot; the box
just gives me the typical "no boot device" error.

I must be missing something.

Suggestions???

Some BIOSes are unable to boot from CF or USB for that matter. Try
other hardware.

Kind regards,

Kai,
It's not a problem of the hardware not being able to run Webconverger;
the box runs Webconverger 6.0 great.

When I initially set it up, I just customized the .img file, dd'ed it
to the CF...and it's worked great.

I just want to upgrade it to Version 6.2, but I can seem to get it to
work using the same basic, install method.

Suggestions?

Hmm, I've dd-ed the iso-hybrid to USB and managed to boot all my
hardware with it.

I'll try raise the issue with the Debian Live peeps who may know better.

Thanks for your time Ed,

Hey Ed,

Could you please test the very
http://build.webconverger.org/latest.iso on your compact flash media.
I upgraded isohybrid, which might fix it.

Many thanks,

Kai,
I just tried the new .iso and unfortunately, it won't boot either.

:-(

If it helps, I'm using an "RiDATA 4Gb 233X Lightning Series" compact
flash.

Let me know if you make any changes and would like me to try again.

Thank you!

Ed
