Hi Kai,

Firstly, thanks very much for an excellent resource! I've tried
several different kiosk products, and yours is the only active project
which has good documentation. Thanks to your instructions, I've set up
some kiosks running off live CDs (albeit combined with using Ultra ISO
to extract the menu.lst file and append to the boot prompt) and USB
sticks, all without a scrap of linux know how!

I tried out the latest version of webconverger mini, but am getting
the following error after the splash screen - any thoughts/hints about
what this might be related to?

/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off
(initramfs)

keep up the great work.

Cheers,

Tom

Should add that this error is occurring with the USB image as well.

Hi Tom,

Whenever I've edited the menu.list from an ISO editor get that
initramfs b0rk. Hence I've been saying to people you need to build it
yourself if you want to permanently change the boot command line.

I've just uploaded Webc 3.1 mini, so you could give that a try.

Kind regards,

Hey Kai,

Gave 3.1 a shot as well to no avail (so far) I've been trying to
troubleshoot the issue as it seems like that error can mean any number
of things :-(

I'll have a go at developing as well.

I was definitely able to edit the boot parameters on the same hardware
with version 2 however.
