Exciting baureo/systemd branch is good for testing

Choose the latest build with "systemd" in it. Currently:

I really like feature 3, since I believe it's pretty novel. With the
installer, I've installed an upgradable read/write version
Webconverger upon a 2G USB stick. It uses the entire disk and has more
than 1G free. Since http://webconverger.org/upgrade is quite
efficient, this bootable USB stick provides an uptodate browsing
experience for years to come. I'm unaware of any other OS offering
such a neat solution here.

If you are running an installed version, you can append
"fetch-revision=systemd" to upgrade to this.

Hi guys,

I've merged the baureo/systemd branch to master.

For the ~50 install users, this will mean a giant leap
(squeeze->wheezy) and unfortunately a ~600MB download. I did try to
squash and git rid of some un-needed objects in git, but I failed to
find a robust solution in the last two days.

Better video drivers, 3.7 kernel and systemd. The upgrade should be
smooth. If not, we have a few good avenues to rollback.

Once master matures over this week, I will make a ISO 17.x release
based upon it. This will avoid the large download for new install
users as well as give powerful new install options to USB sticks.

Hi everyone,

http://build.webconverger.org/latest.iso is likely to become the new
17.0 release tomorrow. I would really appreciate any last minute
testing, just it case I've missed something.

I've tested it today. Tried installing it on an Acer Travelmate 6492 that already had an earlier version installed. First I tried installing from usb stick sdb to usb stick sdc, not touching sda. It seemingly installed ok, but the startup stalled with a black screen ca. 1 second / 1/20 into the progress bar.

Then I tried installing from sdb to sda which worked just fine. Tried some WebGL which seems to work too, and startup time seems to be good too, haven't looked at that much though.
