  I recently upgraded my OS and had to reinstall webby. I noticed that &lt;br&gt; line breaks in the source files are now translated into &amp;lt;br /&amp;gt;. After &lt;br&gt; searching this forum for an answer, it seems that I need to set the &lt;br&gt; hard_breaks option for redcloth. Is there a way to do this for my &lt;br&gt; entire site? I&#39;m not using textile or the &lt;br&gt; built-in CSS framework in the website template.   I have a library called Gorgyrella (gem install gorgyrella) which you &lt;br&gt; can use to pull chunks of code out of text files and syntax highlight &lt;br&gt; with either ultraviolet, Pygments (my preference) or coderay.   You need to install oniguruma as a separate package, first. It&#39;s not &lt;br&gt; a ruby gem, it&#39;s a separate executable. &lt;br&gt; It&#39;s in apt, or yum, or macports, depending on your system.
